Product Damage:
Because of the superior crush and impact strength of our DuraCores, there is less chance of product damage caused by a crushed or failed roll.
Moisture:
DuraCores are virtually impervious to water, moisture and humidity. You can even store or use them underwater, and they will be fine.
Product Contamination:
Our DuraCores have been extensively used in the manufacture of medical and other sensitive films because they will not generate contaminating particles or dust like fiber cores do with use.
Chemicals:
DuraCores are very impervious to absorbing contaminants such as the oils or chemicals that are used in manufacturing.
“Dog-boned” or Collapsed Cores:
The superior impact strength of DuraCores and their resistance to winding pressure reduces or eliminates the “dog-boning” or crushed cores that ruin the product and causes production time loss.
Damaged Core Ends:
Because DuraCores are made of a solid wall of PVC and not layers of paper, there are no dog-eared, frayed or worn ends that reduce core life.
Short Core Life:
Much to our dismay, DuraCores do last an awfully long time. A large number of the DuraCores that we’ve made are still in use. We’re hearing of many cases of 100+ turns and still going!
